  Minimum 100 hours powered aircraft (50 airplanes)

  55 hours of flight training from a CFI

  One 2-hour cross country flight during daytime, consisting of one 100 NM leg

Commercial Pilot Certificate
 
  
 
  The Commercial Pilot Certificate is required for individuals who want 
  to fly for compensation or hire. It is the first step to becoming a 
  professional pilot.
 
 
  
Requirements
  •
  
  Be at least 18 years of age.
  •
  
  Be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  •
  
  Be able to obtain at least a 2nd Class Medical Certificate. 
  •
  
  Receive and log ground training from an authorized instructor.
  •
  
  Accumulate and log a specified amount of flight time from an authorized instructor. 
  •
  
  Pass FAA Commercial Pilot Written Knowledge Test. 
  •
  
  Pass an FAA Practical Test (Oral and Flight)
  •
  
  Add “Hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate” to the bottom
