Private Pilot Certificate

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old to solo. Be at least 17 years old to obtain a Private Pilot Certificate. Be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Be able to obtain at least a 3rd Class Medical Certificate or BasicMed. Receive and log ground training from an authorized instructor. Accumulate and log a specified amount of flight time from an authorized instructor. Pass FAA Private Pilot Written Knowledge Test. Pass an FAA Practical Test (Oral and Flight)

Aeronautical Experience

FAA required 40 hours total time must include the following: Minimum 20 hours instruction o 3 hours cross-country training o 3 hours night training o 3 hours instrument training o 3 hours of checkride prep Minimum 10 hours solo o 5 hours solo cross-country o 1 solo cross-country of at least 150NM with three landings

The following materials will be required for your pilot training: Cessna Private Pilot Course ASA Private Oral Exam Guide Current FAA Aeronautical Charts. FAR/AIM & AFD (or Foreflight Subscription) FAA TSO Pilot Headset (Rentals Available)
