Flight Instructor - Instrument

The Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument (CFII) Certificate is required in order to teach students how to fly under instrument flight rules (IFR). Once you become a CFII you will be able to train individuals towards obtaining their instrument rating as well as provide instrument proficiency checks (IPCs). As a CFII applicant you will learn from scenarios based on real world experiences and enhance your instrument flying skills from the right seat.
Requirements Be at least 18 years of age. Be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language. Hold either a Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate. Hold an Instrument Rating. Obtain at least an FAA Second Class Medical Certificate. Pass FAA CFII Written Knowledge Test. Pass FAA Practical Test.
